Jacks Point Golf Course
Queenstown, New Zealand

Played at Jack's Point Golf Course as part of the Social Golf Australia (SGA) Queenstown Golf week in November 2024.

Ranked number 1 in the South Island of New Zealand, Jack's Point Golf Club is spectacularly scenic championship course built in the surrounds of The Remarkables mountain ranges and Lake Wakatipu

The most credible golfers' excuse if they did not play to expectation is that the spectacular mountain and lake scenery was way too distracting!

The PAR 72 course has a course rating of 73.5 and slope rating of 140, making it a demanding course with challenging layouts, undulations and elevation changes, and several blind shots off the tees.

Jack's Point is 20 to 30 minutes' drive from Queenstown.

Had a fun and rewarding golf week with SGA, emerging second for the week of golf in my division.

Queenstown Golf Course
Queenstown, New Zealand

Played at Queenstown Golf Course as part of the Social Golf Australia (SGA) Queenstown Golf week in November 2024.

Located in the picturesque Kelvin Heights Peninsula on Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Golf Course is one scenic visual icons of the postcard panorama of Queenstown from the top of Queenstown Hill.

In all my previous (non golfing) trips to Queenstown just looking at the golf course on the lake from the top of the Queenstown Gondola cemented the goal to definitely play on this course one day.

With a course rating of 73 and slope rating of 131, the course is challenging yet enjoyable, with big elevation changes and sloping fairways. Framed by The Remarkables mountain ranges and sitting right on the deep blue Lake Wakatipu, the stunning scenery made the round of golf even more memorable.
