About the event

This is a lovely 16 km out-and-back trail near Warburton with an elevation gain of 606m. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete.

This is a fantastic trail in Yarra Ranges National Park. We will start and finish our hike at the Redwood Forest at the Cement Creek Car Park, going down to walk a short stretch along Cement Creek before making our way up the hill to the O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail, and turn around when we are near to Donna Buang Road.

Besides marvelling at the majestic giant Redwoods, on this trail, the trail is shrouded in tall gums and huge tree ferns. Although the total elevation gain is more than 600 metres, besides the initial hill up to the Aqueduct, there are no steep gradients as the elevation gain is spread over the 16 km walk.
