Parkdale to Ricketts Point Walk (12km return)

This easy to moderate 12km return walk incorporates the foreshore between Parkdale and Mentone, and a cliff top walk that leads to the Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary. Ricketts Point is home to unique animals and plants that call the intertidal rock platforms home. Crystal clear shallow waters, sandstone reefs, sea caves, and rockpools make Ricketts Point the perfect place to discover the wonderful sea creatures of Port Phillip Bay. The cliff top walk also offers beautiful views back across the bay to Mordialloc & the Mornington Peninsula.

We will walk along the foreshore from Parkdale to the Northern end of the Beach in Mentone, and then head up the Bay Trail above the cliffs toward Ricketts Point in Beaumaris.

We could grab some refreshments or ice cream at the Ricketts Point Beachside Café and take a short break at one of the cliff…
