About the event

This is one of several day-hikes in the Mt Buffalo & Mt Beauty Areas from 16 to 18 January. Members could choose to join some or all of the hikes and organise their own accommodation in the area accordingly. Please RSVP to each hike that you are joining.


Most of the hikes are in remote high country wilderness. A high level of fitness, experience and preparedness is required. Please read the hike descriptions – distances, elevation gains and Alltrails descriptions and reviews to decide if the hikes are suitable for you.

It being Summer, ALL participants please carry plenty of water as well as first aid kits and compression snake bite bandages as a precaution. Gaitors and bug repellents are also recommended.


As we are hiking in mountainous country, unpredictable bad weather or bush fires could happen any time so please always carry dry warm layers and emergency survival items and…
