This trail meanders through a unique dry gorge and is a real highlight of Brisbane Ranges National Park. The route can be hiked in either direction but most people will choose to go clockwise (as shown in this route) to get the steep, rocky climb out of the way first. From the Stony Creek picnic area venture south along the Anakie Gorge Walk and the Ted Errey Nature circuit where you can catch glimpses of treecreepers and abundant bird life. At Nelsons Lookout on a clear day you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of seemingly endless forest. The track continues north and then a gradual descent will bring you back to the picnic area and car park.
The trail is reported to be a mix of rocky climbs, possible shallow creek crossing on stone steps, and natural trails. Highlights include great views, spring flowers and possible koala sightings.
